Riverside : David Ralston Band
How do you shoot a music video during a pandemic, where you can't film the artist or hire actors to be in the video? Well, my solution was to learn some rudimentary 3D compositing and animation and go ahead and use myself and some characters to create a true Covid 19 pandemic music video. It maybe strange but I feel like it worked...let me know in the comments what you think.

Wide Bushii : Okinawa Americana
Shooting a music video for a song that is based in the traditions of Okinawa bull fighting. Unlike, the bull fighting of Europe, Okinawa bull fighting pits two bull against each other in a show of strength. We decided to shoot this video in an actual bull fighting arena, but since it would be a little hazardous to our health to be in the middle of 2 tons of angry bull we thought it might be very cool to use a cople of fighters in the ring instead...and what better then Capoeira to make this music video really shine.

Dr.0's rag: Hamaguchi Yuji
Hamaguchi Yuji, is a blues guitar savant from the small fishing village of Katsu Ura, Wakayama, Japan. This video was shot as part of his new album release, the idea was to show Yuji's style, encapture the mood of the song and do it all while keeping true to the town that inspires his music. This is the real man, playing his way in his home...enjoy.

Aha Bushii : Okinawa Americana
Okinawa Americana's "Aha Bushi" is an amalgamation of the first songs that both these two amazing musicians first learnt to play. This song, more then any other piece of music I have seen birthed from the island of Okinawa recently, really demonstrates how combining two positive elements from somewhat opposing cultures can create something unique and beautiful without losing the original essence of each. And then there is the video which I slapped together around it. I hope you enjoy :)

Stones for the shallow : WOE
Shooting a music video for a metal band on a budget not much above zero was a really interesting experience. This was one of those friend deals, were the objective was to showcase the band and also my own work. On a very hot summers day, we basically broke into an abandoned old hotel and shot for an entire day, with a single camera and a lot of hard work and sweat. To this day it remains one of my favorite music video shoots.

Nankurunaisa: Okinawa Americana
Nankurunaisa is the Okinawan way to say "it's gonna be alright". This song is all about good vibes and happy times on a tropical island in the pacific, and so the music video needed to be fun and reflect that. We also really wanted to show the amazing life on the road and friends that the band has. So this musiv video was a collaberation of shooting on location in the Okinawa sun and clips from around the world that the band have collected over the years of touring.
